Last June 11, 2013, the ONLY Party presented their party to the Angelicans. ONLY stands for “Outstanding and Noteworthy Learners of the Youth”, as their name implies, is the only party run in this year’s election. The party was headed by Mariane De la Cruz, YS 11, candidate for the position of president. The candidates were interrogated by their fellow learners asking them different questions concerning their competency, seriousness, and leadership qualities and they answered wholeheartedly with grandeur compassion. They were very dedicated and enthused to serve their school especially their fellow learners. Then, Election Day had begun and the Angelicans met the new elected ASSC.

BUNYAG ANGELICUM 2013
Angelicum School Iloilo held their annual “BUNYAG” and selection of tribes for the new learners and staff members. After knowing their tribes, each of the new learner and staff member was given a task as part of the initiation. Then the moment that everybody’s waiting for begun, that is, BUNYAG. Two fire trucks were used to drench all the new members of each tribe in the field. Then the event has ended with full smile and laughter which indicate the true happy Angelicans. So, kudos to all people who made this endeavour a success!
Teachers’ Day on Valentine’s Day
Last February 14, 2012, learners prepared a special surprise for their moderators and teachers as they held the Teachers’ Day at the school’s gymnasium.
Ms. Ena was all smiles when YS7 St. John Macias and so also with other teachers were gleeful when serenaded by their respective classes. YS3 St. Peter of Verona did a special dance number and Ms. Emily was seen swaying with them.
Other classes did mimicking and gave messages and presents for their moderators. Behind the laughter and cheerfulness, a subtle reflection of teary eyes were eminent from Ms. Freda, Ms. Marinel and the rest of the high school moderators as they watched the AVPs that compiled memories; memories that becomes hope for the future.
Year after year all of these activities will happen. February 14 is a day of love. All voices in songs, all steps and movements in dances, all ideas and memories in AVPs, all personalities reflected in mimicry, all efforts put together were all done because of gratitude and love.
